| Siamese show cat from 1890s England |
This early drawing of a prize winning Siamese cat from a cat show in the early years of the cat fancy is interesting for the fact that it would not get past the front door of a CFA cat show in the USA.
It looks far to fat around the middle. Not slender at all and these days the Siamese has to be oriental in body shape meaning very slender - see the modern Siamese.
However, the drawing is probably not a perfect representation of the cat in question. Is she pregnant? Maybe she is. See Siamese cat history, where you will see this picture and more.
