Well at least this example of an abandoned cat was well timed. Cats Protection (who I have gently criticized - Cats Protection Organisation) were holding an open day at the Royal British Legion Hall, in Castle Lane, Hadleigh. Cats Protection are the premier cat rescue charity in the UK. An unknown person placed a basket (cat basket?) with a ginger cat in it outside the hall, with a notice attached,"Good Home Needed".
The cat was named "Nelson" by the Cats Protection people as he is one eyed. Apparently a man just drove up, got out of the car and dumped the cat. People thought he was coming to pick a cat up!
This is just another example of many at this time of financial crisis. Here is one other: Creating a Stray Cat.
