Laura Loomer advised Trump to accuse immigrants of eating pet cats?

This is another sort of conspiracy theory swirling around the high-profile story of Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio eating pet cats which has now been totally debunked by the way. There is good hard evidence of it but a social media influencer and self-proclaimed investigative journalists, Laura Loomer, travelled with Donald Trump on his plane as I understand it before the debate that he had with Kamala Harris and this points to the possibility that she influenced him to bring up the Haitian immigrant pet eating story.

Laura Loomer advised Trump to accuse immigrants of eating pet cats?
Laura Loomer (right) traveled with ex-President Donald Trump (left) this week to the debate and a 9/11 memorial ceremony (Picture: X/@LauraLoomer).

To support this, she tweeted to her 1.2 million followers before the debate about "disturbing reports came out this weekend about Haitian immigrants eating people's pets in Ohio".

So she appears to have believed it before it was debunked and she's close to Donald Trump and has been for some time and as mentioned sometimes travels with him and so the theory is that she influenced him to utter those fatal words because Donald Trump had no evidence to support what he said about Haitian immigrants feeding pets but he went ahead and did it claiming that it was on television!

He looked like a fool and he had egg on his face the days afterwards. A source close to the Trump campaign expressed 100% concern around her closeness to the former president. This person who's unnamed believes that the relationship isn't working. However, another anonymous source said that Loomer did not participate in this debate preparations and that overall she was a positive person to be around for Trump.

Loomer was born in Arizona and she's worked as a commentator for the far-rate activist group Project Veritas. She ran unsuccessfully as a Congressional candidate in the sunshine state twice including in central California and 2022.

Loomer also accompanied Donald Trump to an event the next day (the day after the debate) commemorating the 9/11 attacks. And she has also attended numerous events at Trump's Mar-a-Largo home.

The public blame influencer for losing her indoor/outdoor Bengal cat to thieves

The public blame influencer for losing her indoor/outdoor Bengal cat to thieves
Olivia and Haukie who was stolen as he was let outside unsupervised. Image: Olivia's Instagram account.

This Aussie, female influencer, now realises that owning a Bengal cat presents a difficult problem of caregiving: should I keep my athletic, energetic and intelligent cat inside the home all the time or let him out through a cat flap?

I have hinted at the problem. The wild cat hybrids like the Bengal, even down to the F5s, are sharp mentally and demanding physically. They need exercise and entertaining.

Can you as an owner create an indoor environment which mentally stimulates a Bengal cat? The answer is that you have to. No choice as you can't let Bengal cats outside free to roam as they please because they are too pretty.

They are liable to be stolen which is what happened this Aussie influencer whose name is Olivia Mathers.

She let her male Bengal, Haukie go outside unsupervised and he was stolen. She thinks she knows who stole Haukie and she thinks the cat has been sold to a new owner and taken to Brisbane from her home on the Gold Coast, QLD.

As she is an Instagram influencer she used the platform to try and recover Haukie. She told her 760,000 followers what happened. Some were sympathetic while others brutally criticised her for letting Haukie out unsupervised.

This is the problem; she was probably concerned about ensuring Haukie was happy and mentally stimulated so decided to let him out but you can't do it with a Bengal cat particularly with a Bengal cat living in Australia where a substantial percentage of citizens genuinely believe that cats must be confined to the home to protect wild life because they've be told this over and over again by the authorities who are having kittens over losing native mammals and marsupials to the skilled predation of Aussie's overgrown feral cats which have begun to look like another cat species endemic to Australia, the country were there were and are no native cat species.

Katie Price's bankruptcy may shatter her pet menagerie

As of now according to a search of the internet, Katie Price is the proud owner of seven dogs. Despite facing criticism due to a history of tragic pet deaths in her care, she recently added a new member to her furry family: a Labrador puppy1. Here’s a glimpse of her current canine companions:
  • Captain
  • Buddy
  • Colin
  • Batman
  • Precious (French Bulldog)
  • Tank (German Shepherd)
  • The newest addition: a black Labrador puppy.
In addition to her dogs, Katie also cares for horses named Wallis and Emma, as well as some guinea pigs at her stable block in her home, playfully dubbed the "Mucky Mansion"3. 🐶🐾

And Yes, Katie Price does own a cat! Despite facing criticism and controversy over her pet ownership history, she recently welcomed a new addition to her family: a hairless Sphynx cat. This unique feline companion cost her £1,20012. It seems Katie’s love for animals knows no bounds, even amidst financial challenges and public scrutiny. 🐱❤️.

It isn't the pat menagerie which will come crashing down but her whole, scary and scatty life. It is so much on the edge. It can't last. It has got to crash.

Katie Price's bankruptcy may shatter her pet menagerie
Katie Price looking ridiculous again on Instagram.

Bankruptcy

The news tells us that Katie Price has been made bankrupt for a second time. On this occasion, she owes £761,994.05p to HM RC i.e. the Inland Revenue or the tax collector. The Daily Mail says that "The huge amount is made up of unpaid tax from self-assessment on her earnings from 2020 – 2022 as well as penalties and surcharges."

And apparently she owes this money because of a failure to pay tax on the folding of her company Jordan Trading Ltd. She's been chased by creditors for a £3.2 million payment over the failure of that company.

And as mentioned she lives in a mansion-like building which is described as being mucky i.e. badly kept.

And also, Katie Price has a history of losing pets on the road outside of our home and her most recent acquisition was a hairless cat. This despite the fact that she has a bad record in looking after pets.

To have so many pets indicates a love of animals which is great but the big question is is she in a position both financially and practically to successfully look after a menagerie of pet animals as she does?

The big problem now is how is she going to pay this approximate £750,000 debt to creditors including the Inland Revenue?

HMRC has threatened to seize her home and sell it in order to pay off this debt. This is the point. This is a big home with some grounds around it allowing her to keep these pets including horses.

If the house is sold to pay off debts and she is left with quite a small amount of money (if any money at all from the proceeds of sale), she may struggle to find a property suitable for herself and her pets. It may lead to the breakup of her pet menagerie as I have described it.

Katie Price has an alleged £3.25m debt including a mortgage on her approx. £2.5m (?) house. I'd bet that if her home was sold there'd be nothing left in terms of equity release.

And if other people agree with me, there is a concern, here, for the welfare of these companion animals, I would argue.

Attractive woman destroys her face in trying to look like a cat in seeking influencer fame

Jolene's story in summary is below. And below the summary I provide my thoughts for what they are worth. There are also before and after pics for readers to judge for themselves. But I'd be surprised if anyone thinks the result is acceptable or anything other than horrendous.

Jolene Dawson, a 28-year-old musician from Gold Coast, Australia, has made a feline transformation that’s turning heads. She spent over £10,000 (approximately 10 lakhs in Indian Rupees) to achieve a cat-like appearance. Here are the details of her unique journey:

  1. Cat-Like Features:

    • Jolene underwent injectables to give her a cat-like snout.
    • She also had an experimental suspension thread procedure to flare out her nostrils.
    • The result? A transformation that makes her feel more like herself and comfortable posting on social media without makeup.
  2. Inspiration and Social Media Influence:

    • Jolene considers herself a social media influencer with 18,000 Instagram followers and a presence on TikTok.
    • She believes her cat-like appearance will inspire other young people.
    • Cats resonate with her because they are independent, self-sufficient, and chic, just like her.
    • As a child, she had a Devon Rex cat that she found very chic.
  3. Previous Transformations:

    • Before her cat-like makeover, Jolene had already found success as a social media influencer.
    • She had previously spent £55,000 (around 106,000 Australian Dollars) on cosmetic surgery to look like a Bratz doll.
    • However, she felt that too many other influencers were replicating the Bratz doll look, so she decided to change her appearance.
  4. Overcoming Past Challenges:

    • Jolene had previously undergone a botched nose job during her Bratz doll quest.
    • Despite vowing never to have similar procedures again, she opted for injectables and the thread procedure for her nostrils.
    • Her cat-like transformation cost her the equivalent of £6,000 for injectables and approximately £4,000 for the thread procedure.
    • Most of the expenses came from her savings and earnings as a musician.

In her pursuit of self-expression, Jolene has truly embraced her feline identity! 🐱

The reality

Before and after:

Before the surgery. Image: Mirror newspaper

After. Image: Mirror newspaper.

It seems to me that the reality of the story is very different to what this woman is thinking. She is like someone suffering from anorexia. She is looking in the mirror at herself and seeing something which is different to what actually is there in reality.

This woman's reality is distorted by her mentality. That must be the case because what we see after the surgery is a "destroyed" - as far as I am concerned face - that was attractive but is no longer.

And I fear that this woman will now proceed to the next stage of plastic surgery because it becomes addictive. And she will go on doing this until her face has been obliterated and there is no way back.

Secondly, I don't think it is realistic to think that if you look like a cat you are going to be a more successful social media influencer than if you look normal and attractive. But Jolene believes that if she looks like a cat (which she doesn't) then she will be more successful.

And that's another point. She doesn't look like a cat or even more like a cat than she did when she looked like a human. She just looks like a person who has had unsuccessful plastic surgery and her face has become less attractive, some would say ugly.

I don't want to insult or upset her but the result is horrendous to someone like me, a bystander commenting on this story.

Very sad

Also, for me, it is a very sad story. I hate to see a person - and it doesn't matter whether they are attractive or unattractive initiative - mess around with their appearance in the mistaken belief that it will make them more financially successful.

We need to accept ourselves as we are. Learn to even love ourselves without being arrogant and conceited about it. And without being narcissistic. But we need to love ourselves as we are and live our lives as we are meant to live them with the skills and abilities that we have.

There is no room in life to modify our appearance like customising a motorcar. We are too precious as we are. It would have been much better for her if she had simply accepted her appearance. The work on herself should have been about her mentality not physically cutting into her face to end up like she has; looking quite crazy in my book.

Social media "influencers" must put an advert label on their video if they're paid to promote a product

In the UK, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has introduced rules which affects how TikTok influencers and other social media users promote products of all kinds including cat products which is my area of interest.

I have just visited a TikTok page where the influencer appears to me to be promoting all kinds of cat products including a cat massager which amusingly appears to be operated by a blue British Shorthair cat (Ciccio) without any intervention or help from their human caregiver!

You can see the video below.

To me, the video promotes this product. But I don't know if this woman or man (I think it's a woman) is being paid to promote it. But she does tell viewers that there is a link on her TikTok page where interested viewers can find out more about the product.

That seems to be a way of selling this product but I can't be sure. But under the ASA rules if an influencer is being paid to promote something they have to put on their video or over the video a label to tell viewers that they are being paid to promote the product.

I'll quote The Times newspaper which explains it nicely:
Since then the ASA has drawn up rules that state that influencers are required to put an advert label on content if they have received payment, and any other incentive or are personally or commercially connected to the brand."
And The Times newspaper reports that ASA did some research to find out whether people were complying with this rule and it showed that 65% of adverts on social media were still insufficiently labelled.

The rule applies to all kinds of social media content but often times it is on TikTok which has become a very powerful promotional tool for advertisers.

In essence, these people are advertisers. TikTok has become an advertising medium effectively and a very powerful one because the video you see on this page has been seen 48 million times. My guess is that a lot of people have bought this product on the back of the video.

One key factor in making more money as a social media influencer

There is, according to a study, one key aspect of making more money if you are in the business of being a social media influencer, which, I have to add is incredibly competitive. Very few make it big in this profession and the kind of money you can earn in the lower echelons will be tiny. However, there appears to be a universal rule to make more money and the formula is: the more skin someone shows, the more profitable the post.

JoJo Barbie has 10.3 million followers. She flashes the flesh a lot while showing off her bum and breasts. Image: Instagram.
JoJo Barbie has 10.3 million followers. She flashes the flesh a lot while showing off her bum and breasts. Image: Instagram. This is her latest post at 16th November 2023.

An assistant professor of Erasmus University Rotterdam did some research on this. She first started to get interested in the topic after buying a fitness programme from the site of Amanda Bisk, a yoga teacher and Instagram influencer.

She asked herself why did she buy into this fitness programme and how does Amanda influence her? And there was a clue in that Amanda shows a lot of flesh. She wondered whether this was the key reason why Bisk is successful.

She decided to study it more scientifically. She asked an influencer agency for the market rates for the top 100 accounts in each of the following five categories: fashion, fitness, music, photography and food.

For those who don't know, most Instagram influences make their money from posting sponsored content on their Instagram pages. The advertisers pay influencers to create posts promoting their products.

And for the top accounts ranging from 1.4 million to 65.8 million followers (an awful lot as you can see) the average estimated price paid for each sponsored picture is about £14,500 (as at the date of this article)!

Most of the influencers post twice per week and therefore they make almost £30,000 a week!

There are other factors such as how many engaged followers there are i.e. those they make comments and enter into a dialogue, and how many 'likes' there are.

Male influences earn more than female influences which is unsurprising.

Armed with the information from the agency she studied the nudity factor (as I have called it), which is if the post featured nudity to the point where more than 50% of the person was naked or the image focused on the breast or bottom, they found that the advertising revenue was 4% higher!

So, flashing the flesh, breast and bum increases earnings by 4%. Think on that. And if you are new to the market and have a nice body and don't mind showing it off it probably pays to flash the flesh.

Newcomers should also realise that the top influencers have a team working for them who help decide what is more successful and what is likely to fail. Essentially it appears that the advisers are able to better target an audience and provide the audience with what they want. Perhaps they are able to look at things far more objectively which means they are more businesslike.

But the underlying principle or formula is to be 50% naked!

Stalker abducted former lover's cockapoo in campaign of hate

NEWS AND OPINION: A classic story of an embittered man who harassed a pretty woman and abducted her attractive dog.

Hannah Rasekh with her cockapoo and the man Bashar Ayoub who harassed and threatened her
Hannah Rasekh with her cockapoo and the man, Bashar Ayoub, who harassed and threatened her. Hands up, this is a Sun montage. If The Sun objects, please tell me in a comment.

The basic story is pretty commonplace and rather typical but with a twist as a dog was involved. Sorry no cat stories today 😢😎.

Hannah Rasekh was born in the UK and has a Palestinian heritage. She is an influencer on social media and has a boutique in Al Amman, Jordan.

She met Bashar Ayoub in Dubai in 2017. Bashar Ayoub is a property developer with some wealth, and he lives in a £2 million flat in a posh part of London (Belgravia). Hannah Rasekh lives in South Kensington, West London.

She decided to split up from Bashar Ayoub claiming that he had "emotionally and psychologically" abused her. Bashar Ayoub was obviously enraged, and he embarked on a campaign of harassment and nasty threats.

I set out some of those threats below but before I do so I will bring into the story Rasekh's cockapoo, Ted, who was abducted by Ayoub.

He turned up at her home while she was not there, but her parents were as they were housesitting and said that he was a friend who had offered to walk her dog. He took the dog and did not return him. He therefore abducted Ted. We are told that he returned the dog several weeks later.

He couldn't stop himself harassing her because even after Hannah Rasekh had contacted the police and the police were actually inside her home, Ayoub called her 85 times. The police warned Ayoub not to contact her but within hours he started his campaign again and phoned Rasekh 64 times together with sending her abusive messages.

In one he said: "Die you thief you thieving whore, I pray you die, I pray you die every day, you whore."

He also said in another text: "I'll rip you apart, all of you, your whole family you c****. He sent 35 emails to her between January 4 and January 5 in 2022 in which he called her a "bitch".

His behaviour inevitably led him to the criminal courts where he admitted one charge of stalking with fear of harm and violence between April 4 and September 5.

He was granted conditional bail. The condition is that he does not contact Hannah Rasekh directly or indirectly.

He must wear a GPS tag to ensure that he does not go near her home. He will be sentenced at Westminster magistrates' Court on December 8. The max he can get is 10 years in jail.

My thanks to The Times newspaper.

Cat-eye thread lifts have gone viral on Instagram but is it a good thing?

Instagram influencers in conjunction with high profile female celebrities such as the model Bella Hadid and the Kardashian sisters are fuelling a viral trend which is encouraging followers - of which there are millions - to go for a "cat-eye thread lift". So what is it? You may well know if you are one of those Instagram followers but to many people they will be a mystery.

My cat with upward slopping eyes (slightly). Photo: MikeB.

Bella Hadid with cat eyes. Are they genuine? Photo: Getty.

It is a minimally invasive plastic surgery operation in which a dissolvable thread is placed under the skin in the corner of the eye which allows the surgeon to lift up the area at the corner of the eye to give the appearance of a cat eye.

For me, having some knowledge about the domestic cat, there is a weakness in this because not all cats have eyes with slope upwards at the outer edges. I think that it is a false presumption to say that they do. Some do, like my cat but others don't like the famous Persian cat or the shorthaired version, the Exotic shorthair which you see below.

The round eyes of an Exotic SH. These eyes don't slow upwards at the outer edges. Photo: Instagram.

The same applies to many other purebred cats which are known for their big round orbit-like eyes. These are meant to mimic the eyes of a baby and therefore there is no way that they can be like the eyes of a cat.

Also, it is said that you can achieve a similar result by shaping your eyebrow and drawing an eyebrow in. That's a good idea I would have thought. It should be added, by the way, that domestic cats don't have eyebrows which also kinda undermines the analogy of having the eyes of a cat.

Also, there is an underlying problem to all of this which is that it is not mentally healthy, if we are honest, to encourage young women and teenagers to focus too heavily on their appearance. It is not mentally healthy for these teenagers to try and do the impossible anatomically.

I say that with respect because a lot of these photographs on social media are digitally manipulated for a start off. And if they aren't there may be lots of professional make up and in any case a cat-eye thread lift is not a great thing for a young girl to desire. I would much rather they learn to love themselves, to boost their self-esteem without resorting to artificial and invasive methods which are only temporary anyway.

This minor operation fades after a few months because the thread is meant to dissolve. So what happens when your face goes back to the way it was? You might become depressed and have do it again so how much does it cost? What it might cost about $1000 in America. So where does a young woman find that on a limited budget? Another reason why she is liable to become anxious. Anxiety can lead to depression and stress. You can see where I'm going to.

My attention immediately is drawn to that wonderful icon of beauty, Brigitte Bardot. She said that she gave her life to men when she was in her beautiful prime and now that she is in the autumn of her life she gives her life to animals and their welfare.

Brigitte Bardot. Photo in public domain (believed).

And, I believe that she has never had plastic surgery. Her face is lined and she's put on some weight which is typical of a woman of her age. However, she is still beautiful. Her beauty is in her character, her attitude and her love for animals and no longer in her physical appearance.

She battles against the authorities sometimes and perhaps other residents in her neighbourhood in striving to improve the lives of animals. I admire her tremendously and I hope that many others do. She deserves it.

All teenagers should look to her for inspiration and not the Kardashian sisters or Bella Hadid.

@kadylone (Kady Lone) lives with a tortoiseshell-and-white Exotic Shorthair with a white moustache

Kady Lone is a beautiful woman who, I guess, is an influencer on Instagram. You know those beautiful women who influence others into purchasing make up products and other beauty products. She also cooks. They make their money by advertising beauty products in a very subtle way. They can make quite a lot of money as you are probably aware. Manufacturers have decided that this sort of subtle advertising can be more effective than the standard form.

I guess that it is an executive jet. Photo: Instagram.

I'm pleased to say that @kadylone (her Instagram username) features her tortoiseshell-and-white Exotic Shorthair cat with a white moustache quite a lot on her Instagram pages. Americans call tortoiseshell-and-white cats "calico cats". British people don't really like that!

Kady Lone describes herself as the mother of Pudge the Cat. Yes, her cat's name is Pudge. I guess that name derives from her cat's appearance which is quite cobby in cat fancy parlance. This means stocky which is quite normal for an Exotic Shorthair. This is a shorthaired version of the better-known contemporary Persian, which has very long hair.

Kadylone and Pudge
Kadylone and Pudge. Pic: Instagram.

Other than the length of hair the cats are very similar with, I regret to say, the same sort of health issues, which are inherited. These defects are inherited because of selective breeding resulting in the extremely flat face which distorts the tear ducts. This results in what is called "tear duct overflow". Persians also have a high incidence at about 35% of polycystic kidney disease (PKD). I suspect that the Exotic Shorthair has the same health problem. It is a major factor in considering adopting this cat breed. But I do not want to put a wet blanket over this post.

Kady Lone appears to be a very sweet, gentle and concerned cat caregiver which I like a lot. Calico cats are almost always female for genetic reasons: the sex genes are linked to the coat type genes. Male Torties are sterile as I recall. The Cats of Instagram page follows three individuals or entities one of which is Kady Lone. She has 35k followers. Cats of Instagram has 12m followers.
