Where are a cat's hocks?

The cat's hocks are the joints that connect the lower part of the legs with the bones of the feet (paws) other than the paws themselves. These bones are called the tarsal bones. The bones of the lower leg are the fibula and tibia.

The cat walks on his or her toes - a digitigrade. The tarsals are long and the toes short in a cat.
