One thing I have learnt in running websites is that people are far more interested in looking at horrible and notorious animal abuse videos and reading animal abuse stories than for example admiring an old lady who travelled miles on foot in a war-torn country to buy a bag of cat food to feed her precious cat, perhaps her only friend left alive after Putin's illegal and brutal invasion on Ukraine. But there seems to be a trend on the Internet which is that women like cat eyes and they want their eyes to look like the eyes of a cat. You can do this with plastic surgery. I have seen that. And you can achieve it with eyeliner and make up. That was about the sum total of my knowledge on this topic! But I now feel that cat eye eyeliner is influenced by ancient Egyptians. This is very much a boy-band borne out of the South Korean culture. I think these K-pop bands are good because they are inclusive. What I mean is that the boys are very attractive in a very androgynous way. They wear made up including lipstick. This is all fine. It is good really. It breaks down the rigid, conventional barriers between male and female. This encourages inclusivity and is supportive of the LGTBQIA2S+ movement. That acronym gets longer every year!! I believe that the produces do this deliberately to appeal to a wider male and female audience. It is commercial decision with profit in mind.
