Is there a limit to the number of posts allowed by Google Blogger?

I can say with some confidence that there would strongly appear to be no upper limit to the  number of articles (posts) allowed by Google Blogspot (Google Blogger) and I make this judgement after recently visiting a Google blogspot website, hosted by Google, called Althouse which has, on my estimation, around 74,000 posts. Astonishing as it is authored by a single person: Amy Althouse. Link to her site: Althouse

She writes about 15 posts a day. But she achieves this by not creating original photographs or images for the posts but by embedding Flickr images which I presume she is taken and by copying i.e. cutting and pasting, the texts from other websites both in the title which is very long and the body of the text which is a continuation of the title sometimes.

It's all conducted at very high speed I suspect and she may complete one post in about five minutes. She would have to do it quickly otherwise she would take about 14 hours a day to write a day's worth of posts which would absorb pretty well all her waking hours and I can't see the point of that.

But she has been writing for her website at this consistent high speed since 2004 which is remarkable. It must place quite a mental burden on her to wake up in the morning knowing that she has to write 50 articles or more despite the fact that they are super high speed and copying and pasting mostly it seems to me.

She appears to have decided that quantity is superior to quality which may in fact be true. I don't know how well her site ranks in respect of other websites or Google blogspot websites. There is no method to cross check that nowadays.

She maintains a very simple theme which is the basic original theme of Google blogspot so there is no attempt to prettify the website. I like that too. It's very practical. Very functional. No frills.

Just words churned out at high speed. She write about pretty well on any topic which takes her fancy. She receives about 50 comments or more per article which is fantastic. She must have quite a big following. But then she's been around for a long time and has written 74,000 articles!!

It is listed as one of the best Google blogspot websites but I'm not sure whether that's correct or not. All I can say is that I'm impressed by her productivity and commitment.

I think this website (Cat Chit Chat) actually also deserves a mention because although I only write one or two articles per day for this website it has achieved almost 12 million hits over its lifespan and every page contains an original image of some sort.

For speed, I dictate using Dragon Dictate these days. I have never indulged in cutting and pasting text from other articles. I thought that was bad SEO policy. It appears that Google accepts it. I might try it.

In line with Ann Althouse, I have deliberately not added a photograph or image of any sort to this page!

Here is the answer from Google's Gemini. God bless it. Gemini is the destroyer of websites!

No, there's no limit to the number of posts you can create on Google Blogger. This is great news for bloggers who want to create a substantial archive of content!

Here's a quick rundown of Blogger's post limits:

  • Number of Posts: Unlimited
  • Post Length: Unlimited (although very large posts might affect homepage display due to another limit)

However, there are a few other limitations to keep in mind:

  • Image Size: Individual images can be up to 1GB, but they need to be under 2048px in width or height for unlimited storage within Blogger itself (larger images eat into your Google Drive storage).
  • Homepage Display: The number of posts displayed on your homepage and archive pages depends on a setting you control and the total file size of those posts. Blogger tries to show the number you set, but there's a limit of roughly 1MB for the total size of posts displayed on a single page.

P.S. please forgive the occasional typo. These articles are written at breakneck speed using Dragon Dictate. I have to prepare them in around 20 mins.
