I've tried trapping, sealing up all holes and openings in my fence, calling the County about 50 times, putting chicken wire under my garden as well as placing pepper in the dirt. None of this matters, the cats continue to shit, piss and spray all over MY property.

I've done everything I can think of to no avail. Well, guess what? Cats alike; they are all parasitic vermin who gladly piss and shit on your clothes, porch, shoes, letter box, whatever.

Dogs can be domesticated and trained not to be such stupid *uck*ng ***holes. Cats are wild at nature. Don't go fooling yourself into believing that you can domesticate a cat by putting a collar on it.

Oh, and the main thing I find hilarious on this blog is that the cat lovers know full well that they are powerless to stop us from killing their beloved cats. They are only powerless to do anything because cat owners are lazy, low-life morons whho rarely lift a finger.

You know what? I don't care if your pride prevents you from keeping your cat in your backyard - that's YOUR problem and you have DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS and a LACK OF RESPECT for other people. If your car pisses on my porch or shits in my backyard, I will kill it, just as I do with rats, mice and other pests.

I train my dog, I keep my dog on a leash, I feed it and I cuddle it everyday because I LOVE it and I CARE for it - and I sure as hell don't let it roam the streets.

You cat owners sicken me. If you cared about your pets, you would look after them. Stop giving us the BS on how you care about your cats - if you care about a living creature, you need to know where it is at all times. I'm quite sure most of the people who let their children roam the streets are cat owners.

Keep your cat on your property and you wont lose i...

Keep your cat on your property and you wont lose it. I do agree that the problem with cats is their owners, not the cats, and really do not want to cause cats a cruel (painful, lingering) death but also believe that death is the only cure.

Here is what I have done so far: Trapped cats and called animal control who came and got the cat at no charge. The problem with this is that they take quite a while to come and meanwhile some cats put up a terrific ruckus that can easily be heard by neighbors. I do not want them to know it is me getting their cats as I fear retaliation. Also, the animal control van is clearly marked when they arrive. So, next, I trapped and took cats to our shelter (no fee, fortunately, in our area). This is better but you have to be watching the trap and get it right away after you get a cat and stuff him quickly in the car trunk for same reason of some of them making quite a noise. So far none have "done their business" in my trunk but I also fear that. I put the trap in a big plastic yard bag to help in case of this problem. However, this method is time consuming and of course you don't always get a cat during the time you can watch. And the only reason this sometimes works for me is that I work from home and can watch the back yard. Also, I have seen cats come into the trap, eat the bait, and then leave! (get a trap where the trip lever is more in the middle of the cage to solve this). Some of them also go all around the trap for ages without going in.

So, that is why I came to this site looking for poison methods. I read some other sites about the antifreeze that says it can take days to kill the cat with a lot of grim symptoms so that is not my first idea. I also read somewhere about ibuprofen or acetaminophen… Anyone know if that acts faster? Does the rat poison act fast?

What I would really like to do is trap them and then shoot them or conk them on the head. Shooting alone is too dicey as our houses are too close together. Also, I am afraid to shoot even point blank into the trap for fear of ricochet from the wire trap if I miss (any experience with this?). I don't know if I could conk the cat hard enough to kill it plus how do get it still enough to conk it? I do like the sound of the carbon monoxide method.

If anyone has answers to my various questions, thanks! Otherwise, I think I will try the carbon monoxide trick on my next cat. They start to give you dirty looks if you take cats too often to the animal shelter…plus killing after trapping would be much faster.

Hi all. I've read, that "citrus smell" (some more detail please? citric acid? no problem) is unpleasant to cats (but also to car paint, and not rain resistant)...

To be honest I've googled options for "Plan B", and my 2 favorites are "electric shocker" (300V@4mA, should do the trick without permanent damage (hopefully, keeping fingers crossed ;)), or just like the cat does, sneak attack with ibuprofen.

Please DON'T give the that "that's inhumane" talk, I don't have anymore patience with, or clean up after that pest...

Thanx in advance, Peter (from Slovakia)

How can you reason with cat owners when all deny l...

How can you reason with cat owners when all deny liability that their cat is responsible for the cat sh**.

I get up this morning and there is 10 piles of the stuff waiting form me!!

What is more, I have pet chickens that cannot free range unless I am out in the garden because as soon as I leave, the stalking begins.

I cannot allow my disabled son to use the garden as he can only sit or crawl. Is this fair?

Yes, I agree, that a cats natural instinct is to roam, but by the same token, my 2 beautiful dogs if allowed to do so would love to do the same, even if it was to just explore the immediate neighbourhoud. Are they allow to crap where they like? NO NO NO, so why should cats be.

Let cat owners put them on leads as they are apparently legally obliged to do in Canada, or build outdoor cat runs. My garden is dog proofed.

With regard to cats being poisoned by people leaving antifreeze etc. The person who put the antifreeze down on there own property are not commiting a crime. THE CAT OWNERS ARE THE ONES POISONING THEIR CATS BY ALLOWING THEM TO ROAM FREE.

My husband is frantically now planting out every available spot in the garden with Lillies. These will poison any cat that has suffiecient contact with them. Are we responble if a cat dies or is it the ower of the cat. Do we have to go arround the neighbourhood to ask permission what we are allowed to plant in our own garden or leave unattended in our own garages, etc.?

If a child of mine or even a dog went onto someone elses property univited and came to harm doing so by the fact that the owner had put down rat poison, slug bait etc. Who is to blame???
